Our movie for Monday, November 11 is “The Miracle Club” (2023). It was Dame Maggie Smith’s last movie before her death in September of this year. In addition to Smith, the movie stars Kathy Bates and Laura Linney. It is a dramedy set in Dublin in 1967 about a group of women who win a church sweepstakes to visit Lourdes.

Need to See a Doctor but Can’t Afford It? A team of medical students from Oakland University will explain who qualifies for Medicaid coverage and how to apply for it, They will identify places that offer free or low cost medical care for those without medical insurance. Presentation will begin at noon in the auditorium of All Saints Church at 171 W. Pike St in Pontiac. A Spanish translater will be there for those who do not speak English. Shopping Day for Bound Together students is December 5; please bring items for adult men and women to the church for the students to "shop" for Christmas gifts for their parents.
Gifts are accepted Betwee 1-4 pm until Novemeber 29. Volunteers for shopping day are also needed.
Want to be a tutor in 2024-25? Volunteer one hour each week (Tuesday through Thursday) to conduct 1:1 tutoring with a student from a grade 1-8. We welcome high school and university service hours. Tutoring is part of a full program that includes enrichment programs, dinner and transportation for Pontiac children. Questions, call Michelle at 248-334-3827.

The collection of books numbers nearly 6000. Hard cover books cost one dollar with paperback books are less expensive. We also have CD's and DVD's in our collection.
